Founders Ranchis a rustic, picturesque property with a gentle valley, a natural shooting berm, and breathtaking views of the mountains all the way to Santa Fe. Christened Founders Ranch in honor of those who founded and built SASS and END of TRAIL, the ranch is a one by three-quarter mile rectangle surrounded by a seven-foot game fence that contains seven buffalo, two long horns, and several magnificent mule deer bucks.
 
Located just six miles off interstate 40 at the top of the grade east of Albuquerque, Founders Ranch has its own roads, a strong well and adequate electricity. The property also contains a three-bedroom ranch house, a 1500 square foot steel barn and a handful of ranch vehicles that suit a shooting ranch to a "T".

Founders Ranch is the host to shooting and cultural events, concerts, gatherings and motion picture filming. It is a private ranch that can accomodate thousands of people for a variety of purposes. Located in Torrance County, New Mexico, Founders Ranch maintains a conditional use permit that allows large gathering and the responsible use of firearms.

SASS is motivated by the character of the natural environment in which the property is located and we accept the principle that the development and use of Founders Ranch must preserve that Old West character as well as the perpetual right to use firearms in a responsible manner on the property.
